my
story

There’s a lot behind what got me here, but at the core of it all, I’ve always just wanted to help people. If you see yourself in any part of my story, you’re exactly who I do this for, and why I started Creevy Creative.
p.s. I like to write, too...sorry

I'm Marcy

nice to meet you.

I'm Marcy Creevy

We have an all girl fam. All girl cousins, too. Meaning the Creevy name will soon be gone (sorry dad). Naming this brand Creevy Creative felt like my way of holding onto our last name forever.

helping those building something from nothing.

DEDICATED TO

I’ll say this, this journey truly started during COVID.
Like everyone else, I ended up downloading TikTok… after telling myself I never would. But once I did, I leaned all the way in. I started creating content -- anything from basketball trick shots to day-in-the-life videos, and before I knew it, things started to take off. My videos were going viral, and I gained hundreds of thousands of followers almost overnight.

At a time that felt really isolating, having a  platform became not-so-bad.

I remember posting something as simple as, “DM me a random fun fact about you, I'd love to make new friends.” I woke up the next morning and my inbox was flooded. I was having conversations with people from all over the world, and honestly, some of those connections stuck. To this day, we still keep up, comment on each other’s posts, and stay in touch.

2020

When I arrived at my dream school, Michigan State University, I brought that platform with me. And that’s when things shifted. To call a spade a spade, I realized I could monetize it. I started working with brands First smaller partnerships, then eventually national names like Hilton Hotels, Walmart, and JBL. I’ve since worked on commercial shoots, brand campaigns, and content strategy, learning both sides of the industry: what it looks like to be the creator and what it takes on the agency side.

Along the way, I taught myself everything.

How to build media kits. How to interpret contracts. How to pitch brands. How to negotiate deals (17 year-old me did nottttt even know how to make an invoice). I even went on a Barstool Sports Reality TV Show at 18, and later helped manage and grow the Barstool Michigan State accounts.
Each summer of college, I chose a different industry to intern in. From corporate to motivational speaking to minor league baseball, I got my feet wet in everything I could.

2021-2024

In the Fall of 2024, I was approached with a startup idea that completely changed everything.

Safety Straw: the first-ever straw that changes colors if your drink has been spiked.

We started with nothing. No funding, barely a roadmap, just two guys and me on a Zoom call telling me, “we have an idea, but no idea how to market it.”
From that moment on, I was all in. I didn’t care how many hours, days, or years it took (now going on year two)...we were getting this product out there.

Since then, we’ve raised over $160K in pre-seed funding, traveled across the country, and pitched alongside some of the most innovative entrepreneurs in North America, and we’re now preparing to go to market in Q3 of 2026. On May 1st, I’ll be graduating with both my BA and MA in Communications with Honors, while also being part of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program -- something I’m incredibly honored to be a part of.

2024-Now

There's some stuff I missed along the way, but WOW have I fallen in love with taking something from scratch and building it into something special. That's why I started Creevy Creative. I want to help founders, business owners, and everyday people bring their visions to life. Thanks for reading! (but it's okay if you didn't)
